Irish Marina Operators Association

The Irish Marina Operators Association has its own articles of constitution and its own regional board of directors responsible to the Council of the Irish Marine Federation.

Initially the membership of the IMOA will be confined to the coastal marinas but will in time grow to include the inland marinas.

The objectives of the IMOA are:

  • To provide a forum for discussion between marinas
  • To establish standards for the sector
  • To provide training opportunities for management and staff
  • To seek more competitive procurement for the membership
  • To develop promotional opportunities to build awareness and assist the expansion of the marine leisure sector.

Partnering with MAYA 2

MAYA 2The IMOA works in partnership with the Marine Institute on an Interreg funded programme, MAYA 2, to provide training workshops and seminars and to also build trans-national links with other marina operators in the UK, Netherlands, Belgium and France.
